Eyelid Surgery (blepharoplasty)   Before After This patient not only had loose skin above and below her eyes, as well as "bags" and a minor amount of loose skin under her eyes, but also has a fullness under the skin of the upper eyelid which is due, primarily, to fat in this area. This is a genetic charicteristic and is inherited from either the mother or father's side of the family. It gives a stern and somewhat tired appearance to the eyes. The "after" eyes, in comparison, appear to be much more alert and pleasant. Taking the "bags" away from under the eyes, which is also due to excess fat, always diminishes a "tired" look.
