"I am very pleased to see this wonderful turnout and to feel the enthusiasm being generated to recognize women’s achievements and to fund programs for girls and women in need—right here in our own community.
We wanted to do something different to celebrate the l0th Anniversary of Parfitt Facial Plastic Surgery Center. Yes, we could have thrown a big party—but we really felt our time and money was better spent supporting an important nonprofit organization in the Madison area.
To celebrate not only our tenth anniversary but our move to our new state-of-the-art building next month in Discovery Springs business park, Parfitt Facial Plastic Surgery Center and our AestheticA Skin Health Center decided to align ourselves with A Fund For Women for the next five years. We already consider this to be the best “feel good” $60,000 we’ve ever invested--even if it is in the same year we are opening our new clinic.
My wife and business partner, Peggy Parfitt, and my entire staff---(please stand staff) are as enthusiastic as I am about A Fund for Women, and we look forward to sharing your good works with our clients and friends.
Philanthropy is not new to us. A very rewarding part of our work has been providing free consultations—and volunteering surgical services—to women who have suffered trauma or have been battered. We have partnered with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence through a program called “Face to Face.” Our facial plastic surgery center has provided free services to remove physical scars on their faces—which can help to heal the emotional wounds as well as these courageous women move on to a better place.
We will also be launching a tattoo removal program, in conjunction with the Madison Police Department—to remove tattoos—at no charge—for boys and girls who want to get rid of obscene or gang-related tattoos as part of their efforts to turn their lives around.
So, you see, our philanthropy and volunteer services programs are similar and very much attuned to the spirit of A Fund for Women. Partnering with you is the right thing to do to celebrate our10th anniversary and our new building. We look forward to watching and hearing about all the good things A Fund for Women is doing in our community. Your brochures are front and center in our reception area and we have a link to A Fund for Women on our website.
Our slogan at Parfitt Facial Surgery is “Don’t Just Hope for Great Results—Get Them.” This theme carries over to A Fund for Women. We know the projects you fund can EXPECT GREAT results and you WILL GET them. Congratulations on your continued success. We are proud to support you."
